Health Fair Report: The event was very successful, lots of attendance and activity - We had food for 300 & ran out!. The Marshallese interpreters did a great job, we fostered relationships with the community, learned some things we would do differently next time and even had some folks enroll for the health care plan.
Obamacare Early Deadline: For those of you who work with folks who could enroll, the deadline is early this year - Dec. 15 so now's the time!

DCYF Grant: That cheering soundyou many have heard on Monday was in celebration of our collaborative being awarded a grant from DCFY for $10,000!It's a big win for our collaborative and even bigger for the folks we serve.Thanks to Felicia, Chad, Sadie and Gift for making it happen!

Fiscal Agent: As reported last week, ChildStrive has agreed to be our Fiscal Agent with Sarah Pulliam filling that role in the Anchor Circle. We are in the process of making the role official. Thanks for Sarah and ChildStrive!
Circle Clarity: We're making some changes to the circle structure to clarify the relationship between the Anchor Circle and the Membership. See page 2 for a peek at the proposed structure.

Greetings Collaborators, here are the highlights from this week:
Monthly meeting of the Collaborative – The big event of the week was the monthly meeting where those who attended were briefed on the activities and projects of the last month– of which there were many! New projects from the meeting were added to the l ist. The groupdecided that the monthly meetings are a great way to stay connected,so they will continue. It is wonderful to have such an involved and participatory collaborative, it makes us strong and more effective.

We’re starting to develop our rhythm together. This week, more projects were added to the completed list (yay!) and we started some new ones. Below is a partial list that includes the new additions.
As we work on projects alone and together, we are building our collaborative muscles as well as those for sensing and responding. It’s an exciting time. As you look at your projects, take a moment to consider which of them need your attention now and which might be fine to wait a bit.
